Derek Truelove
Derek joined Nesbitt Coulter upon his call to the Ontario Bar in 2010.
Derek obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario and also graduated from the University of Waterloo where he obtained his Honours B.A. degree. Prior to joining Nesbitt Coulter, Derek completed his articles with the Waterloo office of a large national firm.
Derek is developing a general practice which focuses on corporate/commercial, civil litigation, personal injury and municipal law.
Derek provides legal services and advice on a variety of corporate/commercial and litigation matters, including incorporations, assets or share sales, corporate reorganizations, contract disputes, debt collection and employment contracts and disputes (both employee and employer). Derek's practice also includes personal injury litigation and insurance defence law.
Derek has made appearances before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. Derek is a member of the Oxford Law Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
In his spare time, Derek enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
